Happy Spongebob Halloween
It was a sad night in the Minny-Apple. The Yu-huas lost 17-6 after winning in the final inning against the yourmom’s to advance to the final game of the championship. It is a sad day in America, when a team full of ringers, misfits, and undersized pitchers/3rd basemen cannot just win it all…..I think we all played well, and we all had our moments of mediocrity. Regardless it was a great season, and I look forward to many more.
Next up is intramural vollyball? Can the core group of guys and girls excel at yet another sport…. do you dare join our team….. time will tell.

Intramural softball team reaches championship finals. Yay. Ill pitching, clutch hitting, basepath calamity, and big and little k.d’s, ensured the yu-huas a place in immortality, and perhaps a championship t-shirt. Next game is Wednesday. Stay tuned.

Two quick entries:First. Roadtrip to Saint Benedicts is a go. Tommy-Johnny football and Husky hockey are ‘on the table,’ as is any shindig we encounter on our way. Hello.
I have found an interesting thinkpiece pertaining to male-female friendships, and why the are doomed to fail? (note: this is a very popular site, much traffic, be patient)
I highly ( as does jfk ) recommend this book, The Guns of August by Barbara W. Tuchman. A classic look at the forces, people, and alliances which made World War I an inevitable catastrophe.
In other news, suggestions are needed for halloween costumes for moi. Please sound off on this matter on the message boards.

Good News and Bad News….
Bad News = My beloved Navajo is having issues, and will need to be saved from the grave with great expense. Nothing like hearing about a purported complete braking system failure to start off the day…. Goodbye Navajo? Hello Eloan
Good News = I’ve added tons of quotes from the past couple of years (see page_bottom)(thanks brain). New quotes each time you refresh the page (thanks javascript), so be sure to relive those great lines from such favorites as; TL, LMM, and KL, and many, many others.
The about->site is completed, feel free to peruse the ideology behind the site, and well as the code that makes everything work. Well, I think that’s about it.
The Twins lost, my homer hanky (seen below) proved useless…. unless you count anaheim angels hitting homeruns cool.
