On the walk home from class today I got to thinking about songs/lyrics that bring back memories. I have quite a few:

-Stargate/Kelly/Rashad/Hilker (2001): Paul Oakenfold – Starry Eyed Suprise
-Summer (2001/2002): Sum 41 – Heart Attack
-Laura (2002): Tim McGraw – Red Ragtop
-Dad (2003): Dion – Abraham, Martin And John
-Nicole (2003): Blink 182 – I Miss You
-Alicia (2004): Three Days Grace – I Hate
-HOMM (2004): A.F.I. – This Celluloid Dream
-Summer (2004): Franz Ferdinand – Michael

Three Weeks and Counting

Dave, Mike, and I are running the White Bear Winter Frolic 5K on the 19th. I’m aiming for < 21:00 for this race, but I've been eating a ton of french fries of late, so maybe something in the low 21:00s is a more reasonable goal.... Update: My time was 20:44, or 6:41/mile. This was good enough for fourth place in my age group, but only the top three medaled, so all I ended up with was a blue t-shirt and a blister.

Whenever I’m alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again
Whenever I’m alone with you
You make me feel like I am whole again
Whenever I’m alone with you
You make me feel like I am young again
Whenever I’m alone with you
You make me feel like I am fun again

Random Thoughts for Valentines Day 2004

The day’s a holiday invented by greeting card companies, to make people feel like crap. I ditched work today. Took a train out to Montauk. I don’t know why. I’m not an impulsive person. I guess I just woke up in a funk this morning. I have to get my car fixed. Sand is overrated. It’s just tiny little rocks. If only I could meet someone new. I guess my chances of that are somewhat diminished, seeing as I’m incapable of making eye contact with a woman I don’t know. Maybe I should get back together with Naomi. She was nice, nice is good. She loved me. Why do I fall in love with every woman I see who shows me the least bit of attention? – Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

Ex and the City

I randomly ran into Laura Mary at the bar last night; it had been eons since I had actually seen her. All things considered, it went pretty smoothly.
