What’s New Pussycat

September 20, 2006

Here what’s going on with me, circa Fall 2006.

  • In lieu of getting a part-time job someplace, I’ve actually been getting into some consulting projects, which *might* end up being an order of magnitude more lucritive than working for CompUSA.
  • I have some company coming to visit this weekend, and with the Wisconsin v. Wolverine game happening on Saturday it promises to be a fun couple of days.
  • My living situation has improved dramatically since this time last year. My current place is a one bedroom, near downtown Ann Arbor. It’s a short little walk to the bars, a six-minute commute to work, and is in a pretty quiet neighborhood. Oh, and I have a real bed this time too. Bam!
  • I’m going to Toronto next week for work which is really exciting, considering Toronto is such an incredible town. It’s only for three days, and not over the weekend, but I’m sure I’ll find a way to take in a few sites and have a little fun. I am lucky to have friends in all of the “big” cities in the Great Lakes region, Chicago, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Toronto, Madison, Duluth at al, ensuring I’m never lonely when I have to travel for work.
  • I’ve been playing a lot of Company of Heroes of late. Seeings how it combines a few of my favorite things (video games and World War II) I’ve been pretty addicted.
  • Fall softball has been going really well. I’m such a streaky athlete — how I can go from being benched in a co-ed “classic” league to being one of the better players on an A-level men’s league is beyond me. I think the biggest thing for me is to not try and hit home runs (and ultimately fly out) and just try to get on base.

I stopped when I read, “I have a real bed”.

Then I realized this was all lies!

No, it’s the truth. I’m moving up in the world!
