Andy Moog >:(

November 9, 2007

So, I officially hate Andy Moog now. After a really long day at work, I dusted off NHL 95 for SNES in hopes of taking the 1994 Boston Bruins to the Stanley Cup (offsides were off, automatic goalie). Problem was, it was after midnight and Boston’s goaltender, Andy Moog, was letting in at least three goals each game, which not even Adam Oates and Ray Borque could surmount. In the end, I had no Stanley Cup trophy and was left instead with a sore throat from yelling all night at the sieve that is Andy Moog.

Andy Moog: WEAKNESSES: Very small for an NHL goaltender; he allows an inordinate number of top shelf goals. Five-hole is also a problem. Poor skating ability hampers his lateral movement and his getting back into the net.

Take it from the Masta: The answer is more offense.

Or more cowbell depending on who you are…

You were probably playing Detroit, which was your problem, not Moog-sieve.
