2010 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament

Postby Mr. B » Wed Feb 24, 2010 2:57 pm

HUGE game for the Gophers tonight at the Barn vs. #3 Purdue. A win moves them to 8-7 in Big Ten play. More importantly, it would be a huge upset and it would garner attention from "the committee."

A loss and they are pretty much done, short of a miracle run in the conference tournament.

Damn. They needed that one.

Ralph Sampson is getting good.

Big road win at Illinois. Joe Lunardi thinks they are JUST on the outside looking in right now...

Apparently, Lunardi picked all 65 teams last year, so he's a good source. The Gophs will need at least three more wins, maybe four. 20-21 wins from a major conference team is USUALLY good enough.

Huge upset over the Spartans last night. Lunardi still thinks the Gophers are out, but that a win over Purdue today would lock them in.

Bracketology 101 thinks they are already in, and that a win over Purdue would just guarantee it.

They do. And they are up 19-4 with 7mins left in the first half. A win over Purdue should put them in the tourney, and would but them in the big ten title game tomorrow. Exciting.

Nice win by the Gophers today, was watching online and thought ESPN wasn't updating correctly, 11 points for Purdue at the half, WTH.

The Gophers are coming to Milwaukee!! I will be going to Friday's game, and Sunday if they advance. I'm hoping to get some tix through the university, but stubhub/scalping will do if need be.

I've got a spare bedroom for guests...

I watched a total of 10 minutes of the game. It was fun while it lasted...
