When I was working out at the airport, my office was just besides the control tower and hence in between two taxi ways. First time I saw a C5 roll by my window it scared the hell out of me.

These fuckers are big....very big (4 helicopters fit inside). The picture doesn't do it justice.

Watching them take off was like watching both gravity and physics take a temporary vacation. They barely look like they are moving when they take off. And standing about 50 yards away from when they rev up their engines is bad for the ears.

Definitely a cool experience...every time one paid a visit to MSP the whole building went outside to watch....well, except the controllers.

With that in mind, it's hard to believe that the Antonov An-225 has almost twice the lifting capacity as the Galaxy...

Heard about that....but after seeing the C5, I refuse to believe anything bigger than that can fly.

That thing is impossibly big...just look at all the f-ing wheels!!

I'll post pics of the Lauderdale air show when it happens (late May I think). It's ultra badass. All the planes fly along the beach.

Yeahh...didn't get pics, because I was afraid of the scary drunk people, but it was lots of fun.

The Dornier Do-24, quite possibly the greatest (looking) flying boat ever...
