Mississippi School Cancels Prom

Rather than let lesbians attend. Sigh.

A Feb. 5 memo to students laid out the criteria for bringing a date to the prom, and one requirement was that the person must be of the opposite sex.

Basically the school cancelled the whole thing in hopes of avaiding a lawsuit backed by the ACLU. Bunch of pussies. If you're going to be a bunch of bigots, at least have the balls to stand up for your bigotry.

This girl showed more backbone in showing up to school the next day than the whole slew of administrators put together.

The super needs to be removed. Actually, I think there needs to be a new law on the books making it a crime to have these types of policies, period. Obviously educators around the country are having a hard time following the constitution and they need to be motivated with jail time.

Aren't there alerady TONS of laws prohibiting discrimination of this sort? It seems like they probably figured out that they were breaking the law, and would lose any lawsuit, so they just cancelled it.

I can't ever recall somebody facing criminal charges over something like this.
